About H Marine: Innovation, Sustainability, Reliability

Our Story

We believe that innovation thrives where creativity meets technology. Our approach goes beyond standard marine electrical services—we craft custom solutions that are both best-practice and tailored to your vessel’s unique needs. Whether we’re designing advanced electrical systems from scratch, installing top-tier electronics from leading brands like B&G, SIMRAD and Victron, or collaborating on sustainable propulsion technologies, every project reflects our passion for combining creative thinking with technical expertise.

We don’t just follow industry trends; we're setting them. By continuously researching and developing new ways to improve marine systems, we bring the latest in technology to every installation and design. This fusion of creativity and technical skill ensures that your boat operates at peak performance while contributing to a healthier ocean environment

HOBART

MOBILE SERVICES

Based in Hobart, technical operations are structured entirely around direct, on-site vessel support rather than a static retail shopfront. Bringing marine electronics, diagnostics, and custom system integration straight to boats eliminates geographical barriers across the region. This flexible operational model ensures that whether a vessel is berthed locally in Hobart or located in the far reaches of Tasmania, the exact same high standard of technical capability is delivered state-wide.

MELBOURNE

42-48 Batman St, West Melbourne VIC 3003

In Melbourne, technical operations focus purely on advanced research and development, based out of Hydrogen Fuels Australia's city office. While marine electronics services are not provided locally in Victoria, this strategic footprint serves as a doorway for bringing cutting-edge clean energy technology, system innovation, and hydrogen fuel cell capabilities directly back into Hobart. Maintaining this dedicated R&D hub ensures emerging technological advancements are continuously refined to power the next generation of Tasmanian marine systems.

A note from Dim

Opening Quote

Hey, I'm Dim. I started H Marine as a way of filling the gaps in the marine electrical space in Hobart and its surrounding areas. As a sailor and a marine enthusiast, it was common to hear of the struggles boat owners faced accessing quality trade services, particularly in the electrical space. Starting H Marine just made sense.

SInce starting I, with the help of a tight knit team, have closed on over 700 jobs, big and small. These could range from full scale rewires on commercial vessels, to quick battery replacements on a weekender.

As the team expands, i've been able to invest more and more time in building partnerships here, on the mainland and abroad to develop new ways of invigorating the Tassie marine sector. We're focusing on electronics R&D and a number of renewables projects.

Give me a ring if you want to chat about a project.

Team

Just the right amount of cooks to not spoil the broth. We're small, but effective.

Dimitrios Mois

Managing Director, Technician

Marine electronics and technology have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, stepping into the industry over a decade ago following in my father’s footsteps. Over the past five years in the field—including three as Director—I’ve focused on combining hands-on technical precision with clean energy innovation. Driving H Marine forward means delivering practical, high-tier capability directly to vessel owners and continually raising the bar for Tasmania's marine industry.
